    Overrated

I just ordered two pizzas there. The most unappetizing pizzas I have ever had in my life. If runny, salty, pizza is your thing---this is your place. Margherita extra with pancetta-watery, salty globs of cheese. Two Amy's w/pancetta-watery and salty. Will NEVER recommend.

No idea why so much hype!

Extremely loud, and not just bc every family had a set of twins but bc the kitchen is loud, constant racket of dropped plates and silverware. Food? This was the biggest disappointment of all. First, we ordered smoked salmon and had to ask for bread so I could put it on something. Thanks for two small pieces of rockhard dog bone-like bread. The quiche thing we got was cold so no idea why that took 25 min to cut and bring over to the table. Then, the pizza. Crust has zero taste. Like the equivalent of a white napkin, not even a brown napkin. Got some arugula - thanks for loading an entire bag of argula on a soggy attempt at a pizza. Could have at least drizzled some olive oil but no, just random bag of arugula dropped on top. The actual pizza dough was thinner than the white napkin and soggy so disintegrated on the plate. The toppings - absolutely boring - cherry tomatoes and cheese. Thin sliced mushrooms with a rubber-like texture. Oh, and that bag of arugula. I would NEVER go there. Don't do it. If you want pizza - do yourself a favor and go to Red Rocks or Pizzaria Paradiso. Or better yet, pay $35 round trip and go to NYC, even NJ. Because, DC has pathetic excuses for "pizza" and 2Amys is the number 1 culprit.

    Take out pizza

Unbelievable! Take out pizza un-sliced and pretty mediocre at that. Tiny pizza and a high price. Don't order pizza!

    One of best in DC

Amazing place. Pizza's great, but everything else is really the reason to go. Go to the back bar. Wine list is fantastic value. Kids are only con, can be romper room early (but not at the back bar!)

    slow and unapologetic

We were seated just past noon. The pizzas ordered by my friends were delivered at 12:30. The appetizer was delivered five minutes later. My sandwich wasn't ready. Manager told me at 12:45 my order was on the grill WITHOUT APOLOGY. My order was delivered at 1:01 without an apology. The manager still hasn't called me back.

    Disappointing

We waited in a long line only to find a very noisy restaurant, which really ruined the experience. The decor is simplistic and sorely lacking in good acoustics, particularly with so many kids running around. The service was so-so; the food was equally so-so. We expected much more and were disappointed enough not to want to go back.

    Best Neapolitan Pizza in DC!

Having lived in Naples, Italy for three years I can without hesitation say the pizza @ 2Amy's is as close to the real deal as anywhere. The staff has always treated us like gold & the quality of the food has been great. The specialty appetizer's are always unique, tasty, & worth a try. My only complaint is that they stopped serving Weihenstephan Beer... Bring it back!!
