Yes.....good good dinner!
I agree.....this place is good! I don't venture out of my "box" too much and don't try too many ethnic food places but this place was really good! I agree w/ everyone else's recommendation to try the Kadu Buranee (sauteed pumpkin w/ yogurt + meat sauce)...it is REALLY good and unique....not like anything I have tried before. My sister got the beef kabob which was good. I got the Qabili Palao (chicken w/ saffron rice + raisins and carrots). The raisins and carrots are really good on their own but the whole dish, all the ingredients work very well and compliment each other nicely....a really good dish and I would def get it again. This place is good...out of everything I tried, I would come back for the pumpkin dish!

great restaurant
i agree with what was stated in the previous reviews. this is one of the best restaurants in DC. you get tons of food, great service, and it's not too pricey. it's also super close to the woodley park metro.

great things come in small packages
Tucked upstairs in a row of rowhouses is one of THE best restaurants in the Adams-Morgan, actually entire DC area. The Afghan grill is a small intimate restaurant, yet is big on service and food. The portions are just right, especially if you build a meal from the appetizer menu--which is what I do. Also, a great note for vegetarians--all of the meals can be served without the meat sauce. The Afghan Grill is very accomidating. They also have a full bar and a nice wine list. This is my favorite place to take my guests when they first get to DC.

Hard to find but great food
This is my favorite Afghan restaurant in the district. It's hard to find (upstairs) but worth it - 1/2 block from Woodley Park/Zoo metro station. The food is great!
