Basement pizza with no seats, Alberto's is decent by-the-slice pizza. Not a steal, but at about $5 for a quarter of a 18" pie, fresh ingredients and crisp thin crust, it beats most delivery places in town. Artichoke and tomato slices are good.

We just moved here from NYC. We are trying to find a place that delivers decent pizza in DC and haven’t succeeded yet. The crust was soft, not crispy, and the sauce and toppings were bland. Delivery time was about an hour.

Its hard to come across good and quick places to eat in DC. Seems to be either a fast food or sit down city. A true lack of quality delis. This pizza by the slice place is a true diamond in the rough.

I just moved from NYC where the pizza is amazing and was hoping to find a good pizza by the slice in DC. I was so happy to find Alberto's. The slices are HUGE and definitely worth the money. For a little less than four bucks you can get a slice that is normally two large slices at other pizza restaurants. The thin crust baked in the brick over is delicious, I especially like the cheese and pepperoni slices. There is no seating, just standing or stools, but the pizza is definitely delicious, great and worth the money. I have not tried the deep dish yet.

Ordered pizza for delivery; arrived cold. Brought wrong pizza too!! Can't speak for deep dish b/c they delivered the regular crust, but was not very good. Going to avoid from now on.
