i must say, i was a skeptic because of all the gossip behind this place. everyone said the food was great but i had mixed messages about the service. but fortunately i checked it out and am glad i did. the lady who served us was apparently the owner or manager, but she was kind, funny, whitty and generous. her description of the foods were precise and mouthwatering!! i could tell she was a cook herself. she did not hesitate to bring us samples when we could not decide on what type of rice to choose from. the restuarant it self is a sight to see. the food portion was huge, fresh and perfect. i have never had kobideh this good. the fillet mignon was juicy and tender. all u could taste was the quality meat. it was not covered up with any spices or marinades that took away from or over welmed the flavor. i ordereed the Soltani which was the most expensive dish on the menue @ $19.55 but for the portion of fillet mignon and the 1 lb ground chuck kabob all the rice... it was a bargain. i pigged out and actually finished the entire plate, but that is a feat not everyone can accomplish!! so for the average joe or jane, count on plenty of left overs! at the end of the meal, we were so stuffed we could not even move, but our server brought us a pot of hot fresh brewed tea "on the house". she said it will help the digestion and wake us up which it did. this is my first time writing a review and i do this not only for the food but more for the service. she deserves recognition for her genuine attitude! good luck Amoo's, i will refer u to everyone!

The food at this place is ridiculously good. I've eaten a lot of kabab in my life, but nothing like this. Especially the barg kabab (sirloin). The ambiance isn't going to put this place on Zagat's most romantic, but if you want kabab, this is the place.

I went here once with my dad and i loved it and have been back many times since. It is my favorit place to eat. everything there is delicious. the first time i went i was expecting the kabobs to be small and thought the $8 for kobedeh was exdpensive but than my plate came out with the meat sticking off both sides of my plate and wioth the mountain of rice i couldnt beleave it. I definatly recomend it

i have to warn every one to be careful when you start eating. my friends have bitten their own tongue and almost choked because the food is soooo good, its hazardous ! definitly worth the drive and the money. it's pricier than Moby but so is Fudruckers when compared to McDonalds. they seem to keep improving and that's a wonder because their food has always been great. i don't know how they do it , but the rice is unlike any other and they have a bunch of different options like the Zeresh polo which is awsome. its a sweet saffron rice mixed with a kind of tangy berry. their kabobs are all good and they serve their authentic dishes all day. they recently have added some soups and appatizers. the Ash is a great soup for the chilly days ahead. just try them and you'll never go any where else. the only problem is the bread. i wish they made them fresh on the premises. but all in all its great!!

Sometimes great food comes in unlikely packages. Amoo's isn't much to look at but the kabobs are absolutely wonderful. Our family especially likes the chicken dishes. Because its location was a bit awkward to pull into, we didn't try this resteraunt for over a year ... even though we lived within a mile. After trying it once, we keep going back again and again. I expect you will enjoy it as well.

After eating at so many kabob stores such as shamshiri, moby dick, friends, and the kabob store in the mall right when your plate comes in you will know exactly the price gives you much more than what you paid for. They provide you with more rice and just about twice the amount of meat you would get at moby dick. This is an unknown kabob store due to its location yet trust me the drive is well worth it. I recommend the chicken sultani as the kubedah is amazing and huge along with the chicken being delicious. Anyone should make the trip just to see exactly how good it is.
