A friend and I had lunch at this lovely restaurant. It's a bit unassuming from the outside, but inside we found a delightful hostess/server and the very best Afghan food you can imagine. The large, open dining room became small and intimate through the warm and charming welcome of the young Afghani hostess who greeted us and served us our meal. The food is absolutely wonderful. We had a lovely and perfectly spiced vegetable soup with spinach and topped with a dollop of herbed yougurt, fresh Afghan bread, lamb kebab with brown saffron rice and a hot, spicy sauce. For dessert we had "elephant ears" a light, flaky flat pastry with crushed pistachios and cardamon green tea. It was all just perfect. It was a most unexpected delight and I will certainly return. The restaurant has been open only four months and it deserves our support. But you won't be disappointed. Don't miss this restaurant!
