Artie's

Artie's was highly recommended to us. And they did not disappoint. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and provided us with several recommendations. From the Hickory steak, chicken fingers, sweet potatoe fries and steak salad, everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our first visit but not our last.

I have been a patron of the Great America Group, and Arties in particular, for many years. The service is good (often rushed), the food quality very good, but the value is poor. Meal salads are on the small side and ridiculously expensive. All portions have decreased indirect proportion to the price increases.

This is simply the best restaurant in Fairfax for the money. Yes, the salads have gotten smaller, but they are huge. Do a price and quality comparison on the Filet Mignon with any place within five miles. You can not do better. The same can be said of many items on the menu such as Crabcakes and fish specials. I can not eat them when I get a full meal but the soups and starters are wonderful. Have a meal on them with a salad. As with all Great American Restaurants, the service is unbeatable. But for me, Monday nights in the bar is unbeatable for a wonderful time.

I agree, the food at Arties is good but it's expensive. I've been frequenting this restaurant for several years and I've noticed their portion sizes have gotten smaller while their prices have increased. In particular, the size of their salads have shrunk which is disappointing since salads have one of the highest profit margins.

Artie's has great food, good service but the prices are too high.
