Got delivery and tried the calzones. It's true that they were pretty substantial, but I still think the menu in general is overpriced. Also, the sauce tasted kind of strange and salty. They didn't have far to go and the delivery still took forever. I say go with Duccini's.

We tried Baffetto's based upon a recommendation from a friend. We have been searching for a legitimate pizza place in DC for a while now, but to no avail. However, instead of Pizza we followed our friend's advice and ordered two calzones for delivery. We ordered the Italian and the Pesto Prosciutto and both were very good. The ingredients were fresh and abundant. The proscutto in particular was very tasty. I should note that an individual calzone is easily more than one person should handle at one sitting. Mine ended up being two separate enjoyable meals. The calzones are a bit bready, but the bread was quite enjoyable so while not a traditional Philadelphia or NY calzone, I can easily recommend them. Delivery took just over an hour and the items were still warm. I gave the atmosphere a 3.0 because I have never visited the establishment.

I really love the pizza here, but I've had terrible experiences with customer service. On more than three separate occasions my order has been either ignored, messed up, or overcharged. The last time I mentioned that they had forgotten part of my order, an employee yelled at me to shut up. Several times. Another friend of mine nearly had a physical altercation with the man behind the counter. I really hate to give this place such a poor rating, because I love their food, but these people clearly value profits over any sort of loyalty to regular customers. I have given this restaurant several opportunities to redeem themselves, but they disappoint me every time.

The pizza is excellent, some of the best that we've had in the years we have lived in DC. One bad experience with delivery, when the pizza guy must have tipped the box. Otherwise, good pizza and good salads.
