    When in Fairlington ... ugh

Initially this restaurant seems appealing, but that's true only on the exterior. Slow, slovenly service, horrible overcrowding, noise, and abysmal food. I found it unusual that an omlette could be served chilled.

    Not recommended

The meal was so poor that I was compelled to write my very first restaurant review (in fact, my first online posting ever). From the outside, this restaurant seemed nice and appealing - the outdoor seating area was very busy. The atmosphere inside was nice too - what a sham! The french onion soup was watery and not memorable. However, it was delicious compared to the main courses - which were inedible (to be kind). We had chicken, fish, mashed potatoes and vegetables - they tasted like they were cooked a week ago and reheated. The presentation of the food matched its taste. What a disappointment! Especially for the price. Our waittress didn't even ask how we liked the food (I'm sure she knew) or looked surprised when we quickly asked for the check. To end on a positve note, the bread wasn't bad. Shirlington deserves better!

    Always pleased

I've been to this restaurant for dinner once or twice and brunch about three times now over a period of years. Today, I joined a couple of friends - and true to my past experiences- the Sunday Brunch was well worth the $21.95 and $3.50 Mimosas were in large wine glasses. We had reservations and the staff promptly accommodated us. Our waiter was friendly and attentive without being overly so.

    Disappointing Meal

My date and I ate here last Saturday night. The meal was extremely overpriced and very disappointing for what you received. Both of us eat out most of our meals and we were terribly disappointed. The restaurant is trying to pass off very small portions and mediocre food and overcharging their guests. My date had halibut as a main course and the portion was extremely small. I ordered the crab cake ($19.00 for one) and it was 99% filler. I don't mind paying any amount for good food but I feel that the dinner was a total waste of money for what we received. Both of us left hungry. The popcorn that we had at the movies after dinner was more filling than our dinner.
