I live in the neighborhood and have many years of experience with Bistro Italiano. I and the rest of my family like it, dine in or carry out. Service is polite but can be slow; I think they need another server at peak times. Get there early before the small dining room fills up.

Bistro is by far the best Italian food in DC. The menu is extensive and the prices are perfect. The service is friendly and the space is comforting. I would tell anyone to go there - and I do about once a week!

I have tried this place many times and was only able to eat there once. The food was average at best, but my date did enjoy her dish. I would try to eat there and there would be dinners just receiving their apps and I was told they are closed. I recently tried to get a delivery and had my order taken and then told my address. Upon telling the employee my address I was told they don't go to North West. The funny thing is that we are only four short blocks from their establishment. I would not recommend this place to anyone for the reasons above. It seems this business is too good for a lot of people. How can this restaurant remain when they are able to turn away so many customers.

I've mostly had delivery from this neighborhood restaurant. Each time the food has been hot and the delivery people are extremely friendly. I've never had a bad meal and the pizza is the best in DC by far. I've never gone back to my old pizza place once I tried Bistro, they're that good.

The food was quite good. I have had lunch there twice. Once I had the souvlaki, and the other time, I had the lamb gyro sandwich....Ok Ok I know that aint italian... but... i am giving you a review!! I paid by credit card both times. Once, they added $2 extra and another time they added $1 extra which I only found out after receiving my credit card statement. This is not the way to deceive customers!

A popular place - you knwo it has to be good when people wait every weekejnd for half an hour for a table at dinner time. well worth it! I love the fettucini alfredo with chicken picata. the seafood al diablo is also incredible. the service is fantastic.

After ordering the two one-topping pizza special there once a week for the last few years I learned today you can't split the toppings on one of the pizzas. For example, if you would like half of the pizza to be covered in one topping, and the other half of the pizza to be covered in a different topping, you're out of luck, because that constitutes two toppings. Even though you're only getting two half portions, the fact is you're getting two toppings on a one topping pizza, and that's against the rules. After being a loyal customer, and having ordered this special previously numerous times, you would think they would show some common sense and reason, but alas, a rule is a rule. That being said, the pizza is the best in the area, the rest of the food is bleh, the room is small and cozy, but very noisy and at times it feels very crowded.
