Outstanding steak and crabcakes!! Best I have ever had... and we have been around the world. The filet cut was perfect and medium rare actually was medium rare- better than Ruth's Chris and Morton's by far. The wait staff's knowledge of the menu and attention to detail was better than most establishments. Well worth it!!

I have been to this new Bobby Van's several times for lunch and dinner. There is not another steakhouse in the city I would rather go to. The value for dinner is the best I have seen for steaks and wine. I also go all the time for lunch because the menu is so large I can always find something I am in the mood for. I live in the neighborhood and find it hard not to go whenever I get a chance.

Been here twice for business lunches, mainly because it's right across the street from where we work. Food: Well prepared for the most part, but pretty bland - especially for the price. Service: Most of the servers are foreigners, some barely speaking English (espanol enyone?). The head server was a real clown, tried to act funny with lame jokes and thought he was entertaining us, when in fact he was rather crude and offensive with his juvenile humor. Being the CEO was amongst us one of the visits, I chose not to put him in his place. Another time the server spilled a glass of water all over the lap of somebody in our group. They also have a tendency to be forgetful when you request things. Atmosphere: Nice atmosphere, classy clientele for the most part. Attractive interior, nice floors. My opinion: I'm wondering how long this place will stay in business, despite the large lunch crowds. Again, bland/mediocre food, clumsy service, and quite expensive for what you get. If it wasn't for the Bobby Van's name, I don't think this place would still be on the map.
