    Has seen better days

Maybe they just threw in the towel here after Minerva opened within walking distance! Ventilation must be broken or something because you step out of there smelling way too oily and spicy. More oil than spice used overall in the food. A waste of a good lunch hour. If you want a typical buffet, you are better off at Minerva - cleaner, better staffed, better taste, same price.

    Favorite Indian in Fairfax Co

This is without a doubt my favorite Indian restaurant in Fairfax County. Everything I've had here has been delicious, from the dal's to the lassi's. I particularly recommend their fish dishes, especially if they have their rockfish special, which is outstanding. Portions are also very generous without being ridiculous. Whenever I visit Fairfax, (used to live there; now in NY), and Indian is suggested for dinner, I suggest Bombay Bistro. And the restaurant is very accomodating to families, as well! Love it!

Try it you, will like it

In past few years a lot of Indian places have opened up around Fairfax but this place positively stands out in all respects. Very good menu selection and excellent service. In the years that I have patronised this restaurant I have never had a bad meal and all my friends that I have introduced have enjoyed it too. The buffet on sundays is my fav. extremely well executed, good dishes, not the 'filler junk' you might encounter at some other places serving so called Indian food. Love the ambience, very Indian and relaxing, ask to be seated on the low tables at the back, so comfy, just make sure you dont doze off.

    Bombay Bistro experience

The first place in my life where the attendants were not at all friendly, rather they were rude and fighted for a tip, was Bombay Bistro. We didn't like the food nor the attendants. But the ambiance was good. But we do like to get good food and respect if we are eating somewhere.
