Subpar food
The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable, for the most part. The atmosphere is a good laid-back pub kinda feel, and of course the beer selection is the best in town. The reason I don't make a habit of the Brickskeller is: why would I sit here drinking beer after beer if you can't even serve me decent nachos?? I have tried several dishes here and has always been either unimpressed or disgusted. Although I love the beer, I stick with a place that has at least tolerable bar-munchies.

Underperforming
My experience was not so good, to say the least. Many of the beers we ordered weren't available. Additionally, the restaurant was understaffed, causing service to be abismal. The ambiance lacked energy and originality. Overall the experience was at best mediocre. If you are in DC there are many other places that perform this one. Do yourself a favor and seek them out.

Poor Food
Most of the beers we wanted were not available, so their selling point of the most beers is not a reason to go. The meat was undercooked.

Great pub, awesome beer selection
The Brickskeller is my favorite bar in DC. Their selection of beer is absolutely incredible. They have over a 1000 beers and their staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. Cool English pub style atmosphere. Great French fries.
