Unpretentious-a gem.
My husband and I love this place. Avoid it if you are looking for "atmosphere"in your dining experience...but the flavors and value are amazing. We order take out as often as possible. I love the green tea salad and shrimp dishes and my husband's favorite is the mango pork.

My Favorite Restaurant Ever!!
Burma Restaurant is an unassuming piece of heaven!! I eat lunch here at least twice a week. I was first introduced to Burma by my supervisor who has spent much time in the actual country collecting and naming new species of gingers. He says the cuisine is authentic and it reminds him of his days in SE Asia. The flavors are unlike anything out there. You'll have to taste it for yourself to understand.

Very disappointed
We are used to a Burmese restaurant in Sterling, Va (which we discovered by chance) but live in DC and wanted to experience Burmese in the district. We tried it and thought the food was not good, very bland, the atmosphere was not pleasant.

out of the way and very interesting food
This informal but pleasant restaurant is tucked into chinatown above a busy new Thai place. The food is definitely not chinese but that is a good thing. If you've never eaten Burmese you'll be surpised especially if you love fresh ginger. Try the tea leaf salad, chicken salad, green papaya salad. Curries and tamarind fish are outstanding. The prices are a bargain too !
