Cafe Divan

Don't let all the Zagat reviews fool you.... The food is totally tasteless, colorless, dry, and oh yes, cold. I am a former restaurant manager who worked in some of the best 4 star restaurants in NYC so I know what good food and service means. This is NOT it! Geez I didn't even get a "thank you" when the guy handed me my togo food. He just turned away as if he had something better to do then to gain a return customer. And you know....there is never anyone in there.

Been eating here several years. Food is excellent. Best grape leaves on the planet. Even in the summer heat the bread is among the best in town. Service always superb.

Enjoyed dinner at Cafe Divan. Had the Chicken kabab with Yogurt sauce, my friend had the sampler plate. The beef and lamb were quite savory. I will have to order them next time. The place was busy but we were seated quickly and the service was good and fast. Definitely going to go there again.

Very gracious service and good, fresh food in a stylish atmosphere. Plus, the prices are right!

no consistency - used to eat here regularly, but it all went downhill. Would order the same thing often, but it started changing drastically with each order. I stopped ordering for delivery when it took about and hour and a half one day (and I live about a half mile up wisconsin from the restaurant), and I called to see what was going on, and they stopped answering!! its a shame, its was once good, but seems to be struggling. I tried to stop in and eat there about a month ago, but after seating myself and waiting for about 8 minutes, I decided to go elsewhere - where they acknowledge my presence!

Hi, unfortunately I have some complaints about the service we experienced today (Sunday,6th around 3PM) in the restaurant. To begin with nobody greets us at the entrance. After 3min of waiting, a waitress came and showed us our seats. Neither she gave us the menu, nor did she ask our drinks! After 20min of waiting we called her and she remembered us and came to give the menus and left. Again she did not take our drinks! After another 10 min she came back and ask us whether we are ready or not, and take our orders. Another 10min passed and she came back with only one drink, forgot the other one! We have to wait 25 min for our COLD meals. Thanks to a different waiter that brought our dinners. No need to mention the forgotten coke came with the dinner. This is actually the second time this kind of service I'm taking in the restaurant. I gave a second chance but they couldn't use it. Hence I'm not coming to this restaurant anymore and definitely will not suggest to my friends or colleagues.

I got my delievery within 30 mins of ordering. they gave me the wrong dessert and when I called they were nice about it, but wouldn't refund me. other than that the food was decent, but cold when I got it.
