Best food I've had in DC

I'm not a DC resident, but have been there often for conferences and such. I had the grass-fed Burger and the mixed greens salad for lunch and it was the best burger and salad I have ever tasted. I was very hungry when I got there, so that may have played a factor, but I highly recommend this place for lunch.

    Disappointing

I had the poorest culinary experience of my life there (twice). The ambiance matches the food perfectly. Overcooked and flavorless food, spilled beer and slow service, overpriced for what it is; rowdy and drunk kids on the best nights...the most overrated place in town. Nice decor, patio, and great location are the only +s. My thought is that this is probably one of the relics of the dot com era...my guess is that kids with a few bucks and no knowledge of the restaurant business must own this restaurant. Don't go...waste of money and time!

Fantastic - why go to that other bar?

Originally set out to go to another popular bar but they weren't open yet. Stopped in here and so glad we did. Drinks were fantasitc...no drink menu but bartender will make whatever you want and was friendly. Sat at the bar and didn't eat but saw food coming out for other customers and it looked pretty good. Good beer selection and liquor selection included lots of top shelf options. My new favorite bar on the 14th street corridor.
