amazing
without a doubt the finest dining experience ever. We went with a group of friends- 6 plus my wife and I. We had a 5 course meal with a wine pairing with each course- the entire menu except the main course was preselected for us. Not one person at the table could find a single thing to complain about the entire meal. We were started with a shrimp gazpacho (yeah, cold soup) IT WAS FANTASTIC- then bread was brought out- a nice variety- warm and delicious, then there was a seafood platter with a variety- lobster tails, oysters on the half shell in brine, jumbo shrimp and jumbo lump crab meat- all amazingly delicious.. then salad- can't recall what all was in it but it was delicious also- then a platter with prosciutto wrapped mozzarella that had been toasted and calamari with hot cherry peppers- the cherry peppers had some kick to them but they were paired with a Riesling that amazingly killed the spice..anyhow, even the few that would never consider calamari in our group thought it was fantastic.- ok, here's the main event- the entire group selected the fillet Mignon for their main course.... one word sums up this course.. WOW.. absolutely melted in your mouth like butter.. didn't really even need teeth to eat this.. paired with some perfectly cooked asparagus and really great mashed potatoes... oh, and someone put a bug in our server's ear and we ended up also getting a couple of platters of lobster macaroni and cheese (strange sounding but unbelievably amazing) Then there was dessert, an array of sweets with a strawberry cheesecake, key lime pie, flour-less chocolate mocha cake....... the service was the best I've ever experienced in my lifetime as well and we took care of her VERY well at the end of the night. The sommelier must have a golden palate because each of the wine pairings were spot on also.. it may have been our server, I'm not sure.. but none the less- a fantastic evening I'll never forget.
