Capitol Bistro

Not only does the Capitol Bistro provide a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere, the buffet is consistently full of healthy choices that are deliciously mildly seasoned. That's a huge compliment coming from a person like myself who enjoys homemade Southern soul food cooking (how I miss my Mom right now.) My husband and I work at a federal agency two blocks away and frequent the Bistro regularly as a lunch date, usually arriving 15-20 minutes before it closes down the lunch buffet. Arriving so close to closing is not recommended, because that's usually when the food is beyond satisfying. So, we try to arrive at least 30 minutes early to avoid stuffing ourselves. And the bread pudding with cream is absolutely an addiction. Sometimes that's all I go for. With a baby on the way, my husband and I enjoy indulging ourselves in a place of peace, kind and personable service, deliciously healthy meals, and we don't feel guilty afterward...bloated maybe, even tired...but not guilty. :) I can tell my OB I that I ate healthy and mean it. :)

Good food, but literally one of the weirdest most awkward atmospheres i've ever encountered in a resturant. Service was slow and they were out of buffalo/chicken wings at 8pm!! I dont do reviews but I had to warn people for there own good!

I normally don't like to eat at a Holiday Inn. We were so tired we did and ended up with a terrific meal. Everything was wonderful...cooked to perfection and present beautifully. Couldn't have asked for better service. Thanks to everyone for a perfect end to a perfect day. We'll try them in the morning for breakfast!

Price of breakfast buffet is not on menu. Way overpriced for run-of-the-mill food cooked hours beforehand. Children do NOT eat free as advertised - though they do get the breakfast buffet for a significantly reduced price - a fair price for this buffet would be the "children's" price.
