I live on 8th St, same location that the restaurant is located and never ate there before. It is a quiet place, with great Indian food. The price is reasonable. I would recommend it to my friends and plan to take my relatives when in town.

I was told that good Indian-Pakistani food was hard to find in DC. I wish I had listened before wasting $30 at this place. I ordered the Paneer Makhni (which is very hard to mess up). What I got was a spicy tomato soup. The samosas were sub-par with only mashed potatoes inside. The service was sub-par at best. Perhaps it is because I am Indian that I hold the food to higher standards... but more realistically I am just upset that I spent $30 on this meal. I am just surprised that the place is still in business. If you like the food, great! But just know that this is not anywhere close to good or authentic Indian/Pakistani food. Take the money and buy some pre-packaged Indian food packs from your local grocers instead.

The food is pretty good. The place is a dive. Often, they won't answer the phone and it is so painful ordering over the phone if you do get someone. Could be a great business. Disappoints me regularly instead.

We regularly order delivery from Capitol Hill Tandoor & Grill, and are never disappointed. We've tried other Indian restaurants on the Hill, but this is hands down the best!

Never eaten in the restaurant, but have ordered delivery probably a dozen or more times. Every time is shows up piping hot, which is a huge rarity in Capitol Hill delivery options. Expect 45 minutes for delivery. The Mix Grill tandoori is great, and quite large. Chicken masala is great as well. Order the mixed bread basket. Quite large, and a good selection. Again, can't believe how it shows up piping hot, even though I live on the other side of the Hill.

My boyfriend and I love this place! It is rare in this city to find great food that is affordable! Even though we now live all the way on the other side of town,we still make an effort to come to Eastern Market just for this place. The atmosphere isnt anything special, but if you are looking for a quiet restaurant where you can have good conversation and great food this is where you need to go.

Wow. The other day I made an impulse delivery order from this place hoping it would be good enough to please some friends I had over. Since there are so few quality Indian restaurants that deliver, I wasn't expecting much, but oh my goodness was I wrong. We all thought the food was spectacular. The delivery took about fifteen minutes longer than they said it would, which was annoying, so order earlier than you think you'd want food. They have a wide variety of dishes that I rarely see in other Indian restaurants, and the spicing on even ordinary dishes was out of this world. I particularly appreciated the fact that their vegetables and chicken weren't overcooked. I recommend the mutter paneer and the mixed vegetable in particular, however, the chicken tikka makhani was a little too smoky for my taste.
