Fabulous crab house
I was in the D.C. area and heard about this place. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was just like a crab shack should feel. There was a 'Skins game on TV and the whole restaurant seemed to be watching. The crabs were cooked very well and tasted great. I would certainly recommend this place to any locals or people from the general D.C. area.

Increasingly poor service
Owner and/or management needs to step in at this point, instead of wondering why the sales have gone down !!

Fantastic crabs every time
I live in NoVa, but grew up on the Chesapeake Bay. I miss the abundance of crabs, but luckily found Capt Pell's. I've never gotten anything else but carry-out steamed crabs. The jumbo crabs are pricey, but well worth the indulgence at least once a summer. They are consistently huge and heavy males. The restaurant, which is an authentic crab house (paper on the tables, pitchers of beer, noisy with the sound of mallets) seems to serve up good sized crabs which is a rarity with all-you-can eat deals. I love this place!

Great Crab House
I had the good fortune of eating dinner at Pell's in July 06 with my family . The crabs were great as well as other seafood ordered by my family was good. It was a crab house that delivered great food at an excellent price. I highly recomend this place if you like crabs !
