A place for special occasions
My favorite time to go to the Chart House is in the winter, sitting indoors for a celebration or holiday dinner or, most common, I thoroughly enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the marina on warm weekends for lunch. The extensive wine list paired with the blue crab dip or mango stack is a great start to an even better atmosphere. Service is typically right on cue but the hostesses aren't always the friendliest. Don't stray far from the seafood dishes, as those are their specialty. I especially encourage eating from their seasonal menu. It can be extremely pricey, just be careful how you order. For instance, don't order the $40 lobster...it comes with a meal-sized portion of side dishes and by the time you have scarfed down wine, appetizers and salad, you won't have room for the lobster anyway! Also a must is the salad bar. It is vast with nice products, including fresh fruits and cream for a 'dessert' after your meal. Worth the extra add-on price to your meal.

Don't eat there, just look
This is pretty simple: 1) Mediocre food. 2) Slow service. 3) Over priced (get the waiter to confirm the price on the printed menu, too). 4) Nice view, if you can find a table, or you avoid collapse while climbing up to it.

Bad Location
Local hang out, many stairs, no parking and difficult to navigate to. Nothing exceptional to justify the price or location.
