I have ordered chinese food from other chinese eestaurant's in virgina and so far chef chen's is by far the best. The people are friendly and the food is great! they are always on time and it is one of Alexandria's well kept secret.

the place is spot on. It's quick, cheap, and the food is good. The Mongolian BBQ is what really puts the place over the top. I find it really hard going to subway and spending 6 bucks on a sandwhich knowing I could go here and spend about dollar more and get all you can eat, fresh chinese food and Mongolian BBQ with Shrimp, chicken and beef.

I work close to this restaurant. It is a hidden treasure. The food is excellent and the service. I've even requested delivery and it arrived, on time, during the busy lunch time. I highly recommend this place for families because they serve hearty meals and they taste delicious, not overly greasy. Go now! And you will keep returning.

The restaurant is great, and the take out is fantastic! Their food stays hot so there is no cold soup when it arrives at your door. The delivery is quick and the buffet is always stocked with the best foods! Will always use Charlies!

I've eaten at almost all the Chineese food restraunts that deliver in this area...and Charlie Changs definitly puts up some good deals. Their place is small but the food is good, plentiful and they have decent service. They are really good about their portions, a dinner size means big, unlike some of the competition. They have the best chicken wings in the area! Their meaty, not too greasy, and the seem seasoned. They have a good sesame chicken and they don't just fry bread and leave you wondering "where's the chicken"? They have GREAT rice, its not dry like some of the other places. Ohh and they have delectable vegetable spring rolls that are alittle greasy but who's aren't? They actually taste good too. They have a good buffet with all the good stuff: chicken wings, dumplings, general tsao's, beef and brocolli...chicken on a stick. I couldn't just let one review be up and it be negative. For all their great food, my inner fat child thinks their great. And says "Thanks Charlie Changs for large portions with flavor".

These guys are very quick. The food is outstanding... I ate there 20 + times, and it was consistently good stuff. Delivery taked less than 25 mins usually...

The food here was decent (the items we actually received). We ordered for pick up and when we returned home, we realized we only had half of our order. We called and requested they deliver the missing items and they said it would be 40 minutes. An hour and a half and a few phone calls later, they informed us that their delivery car was "broken" and that we would not be receiving the rest of our order but we could get the items free next time we dined there. However, there will not be a next time. So, she said we could come back and get our money back, which would have defeated the whole point of not just going back for the missing items in the first place. So, finally they refunded the money back on to our card. Poor service and so so food means we will not be returning to Charlie Chang's.
