Beware of Favored Diners
The food was adequate; the atmosphere acceptable; multiple utilitarian servers dropping off food. The acute disappointment was because of a nasty diner who used nasty language to another diner. Bad language and behavior was ignored and excused by the manager who noted that "they are in here fairly often." This is a reason not to dine here.

Moderate experience
I'm guessing my experience was an exception, because the restaurant was full of people, and I've heard good things about it. My meal was the special of the day--linguine pasta with marinara and mussels. It wasn't bad, it was just bland. The mussels didn't taste like anything and the sauce was watery and thin. Certainly not worth the $13. I watched a much cheaper burger go to a different table and I wished I had ordered it instead of my pasta. I won't be going back to Clyde's-- there are far more reliable places in the area.
