    My favorite Clyde's!

I have been dining at Clyde's for more than 30 years. This is my favorite. OK, I'm a baseball fan, also. Just walk in the front door, you will know what I am talking about. After you walk in the front door, by-pass the desk, head straight to the back to elevator to the second floor. Turn left, ask for a table in the conservatory-it is the only place to sit because it borders on quiet, and there are 3 waiters for a max of 24 patrons. And, you can see out onto the street below, if you can divert your eyes from the food! I have lunch here at least once a month, for about $18, in toto. It is typical Clyde's food-good and very satisfying, but you will leave with your socks still on. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have NEVER been disappointed in any way by this restaurant. You won't be either, unless you are completely hopeless. Take the subway, exit via the street level elevator at the south end of the station, turn right, walk 3 minutes, just past Chipotle and McDonald's. You can't miss it. I have been to every restaurant on this block more than once. This is the top of the line. And, the most profitable restaurant in Washington. I can't imagine why. Maybe it's just that good, huh?

    A little bias

I've eaten here several times but I always order the same parmesan crusted trout which I love. The portion of the fish was good but the sides didn't add up. The service is always great and my food is always hot. The decor is lovely but it's always so crowded so be prepared to wait. They validate because the only parking is in a underground garage but you usually are there longer than the validation, so include that in your budget or take the train.
