    Worth the wait!

I've been going to this restaurant since it opened about five years ago and have yet to be disappointed. Top things to note: Their ventilation system in the bar is great and does not spread beyond the bar. The service is casual but excellent. The staff seems to like working there and works well as a team. This is by far the best calamari in town. that alone is worth the trip.

    Great Food But Poor Service

My girlfriends ranted and raved about Coastal Flats good cuisine for months on end. Finally, I had the opportunity to taste and see for myself. I was impressed with the food, however, my waiter was not impressive. First,, he forgot to put our drink order in...didn't get them until AFTER the food arrived...Second, he never gave us the bread appetizers (which are scrumptious I might add) Lastly, after our food arrived, he never checked to see if we needed anything else or if we were ok. We had to flag him down just to get our check!! Good food, but POOR Wait Staff!

Second Rate Food at Inflated Prices

Coastal Flats is another chain-type restaurant to overrun Tysons Corner, along with its "sister" eateries like Carlyle. Both look good on paper but never satisfy. The burgers are average, the entrees uninspired, and the brunch overpriced and underwhelming. The long lines for tables say nothing about the quality of the food. Like other restaurants in the area Gordon Biersch for one the location seems to give management the excuse to serve subpar food. It is average food, for average tastes. I'm not a food snob I llike my Five Guys and Chipotle as well as my DC Coast. However, this review simply and honestly reflects my opinion that "mall dining" cheats the customer out of a great food experience, and their money, in a time when eating out is becoming a true luxury for many. So, get out of the mall and frequent your local restaurants. Stop paying for a subpar experience.

    The best rest. in Virginia

You have to try the shrimp and grits! The service was awesome.

    Fantastic

I was visiting VA and my daughter brought me to this restaurant. I ordered the Short Grilled Salmon Salad. This was the best salad I have ever had (I have been around a long time). The salmon portion was great and cooked to perfection but the dressing was astounding! I have never had any as good as that. Superb! Wish we had one in Boston!

Good food but not so hot service

The food was great I had the crab cakes but the service was poor, they are in need of more experienced waiters.
