not a true chipper experience
If you love chips from a genuine dublin chipper, then give this place a miss. The chips are cooked in peanut oil, which is not used in Ireland. This totally changes the flavour of them. Irish chips are mainly cooked in sunflower oil, alternatively they use vegetable oil, both of which oils are available here. Why not use the genuine oil, this would make the chips taste right. The battered sausages are "european". Not Irish, This mean they are a different taste to Irish ones. The service is very poor, the disinterested guy who served me last night appeared like he had not fully woken up from the night before. and really wanted to be somwhere else. Adding a tip line to the receipt, even though I had to walk up to the counter both to order and collect my order is a bit rude. He shouted my name from 5 yards away while looking at me, even though we were the only ones in there. I began asking myslef why had I already given him a 20% tip on a $20 order? What exactly is this tip for? Be warned people, this is not a true Dublin Chipper experience, it's an american version of one.
