    Food

Took my wife here for mothers day. Reasonably priced, excellent service, good classic Italian food.

A real find - good food and good people

This is one of those little pleasures - a small town place that has better food than the high end restaurants downtown DC. We have been regulars since 1987 or so. The food has never disappointed us and the service is always eager and attentive. The decor was never the strongest point here but the prices are quite reasonable - it is a great place for a Friday night out with your sweetie.

    I love this place

I love the veal marsala, & the veal limon i think its called as well. Also, their fried appetizers are awesome! I have been coming here for about 10 years and don't get to order here as often as I like since going totally local, and organic when it comes to all my food, but on "cheat days" and special occasions I love to come here! Its really clean, the owner is a really nice lady, the whole staff is always great. Orders are always correct. I eat alot and these portion don't disappoint. They give you lots of fresh bread, a side salad or pasta side and they dont skimp on your main dish. I never noticed or cared about the "decor" since the food is so good and I mostly care about CLEAN anyways, which this place is. Im very picky about clean lol. If you want good italian food and you arent a snob then you will like this place. Otherwise go somewhere more expensive and get less value for more money lol. Two veal dishes with all the sides with it plus appetizer and your drinks youre looking at about $45 which is really good for the amount of good italian food you are gettin and for the quality and family feel, it is worth it. Personally, I get mine to go many times and it is still fabulous by the time we get it all home. Just love this place it's one of my faves you should check it out!

    Hidden Gem

One of the best Italian restaurants in Northern Virginia no matter the price or location. The food is great and the service makes you feel at home. Highly recommended.

I've been to Italy and this is like being there again.

I have the Veal Limone. It is excellent, on par with 5 star restraunts. This is always consistently excellent and for the price in No. Va. it cannot be beat. I love that the atmosphere is typical Italian bistro, just like neighborhood restaurants in Italy. Keep up the great job. Salad great, marinara sauce is a one of a kind too! Great

Everyone we take truly enjoys their meal.

How do I know this, because they ask to go back. Forget the decor -- yes it is old -- but like others we go for the food. The pizza - we always ask for a well fired bottom so it stays nice and crispy. The chicken parm is why I go there. The chicken is alway freshly sauted and I always ask for the meat sauce instead of the tomato. The calamari is generally nice and tender. In the 27 years we have been going to this neighborhood gathering place we have sent our food back three - yes 3 times. There are some wait staff we prefer over others. Value: Before with dinner you were offered soup or salad and pasta. Now you only get one choice -- so we have to pay extra .

    The Pizza is Good...

Dined-in about 10 years ago and the place was in need of a remodeling then. Plastic benches from an 1980's fast-food restaurant with cracked and torn vinyl seat covers. Had pizza, pasta and a caprese salad. The salad had under-ripe hot house tomatoes, tasteless mozzarella cheese and it wasn't cheap. The pasta wasn't much better. The pizza was good. Went back recently for carry-out pizza and some meatballs. The decor hasn't changed. The pizza was good, pepperoni and sausage, but the meatballs and tomato sauce were nothing special. I make better meatballs and sauce. That said the restaurant is always busy though I really don't know why.
