Real italian
I love this place. I live in g-town and often found reason to eat here. I introduced it to everyone I know and nobody was ever disappointed. I moved from DC a few months ago and now that I'm going to visit my bff, we already mAde reservations. You have to make a reservation for the weekend or you will be waiting a very long time!

Everything from the food to the decorations is perfect. There is no better place than filomenas.

Fantastic
Used to love this place when I lived in DC back in college. Had not been there in 7 or so years and went for Valentine's Day last weekend. It was as good as I remember. Even though it was packed with people waiting, they honored our reservation. From service to decor everything was perfect. Don't miss the grilled calamari.

This place turned my frown upside down!
This place was incredible! Exactly what my wife and I wanted. Great atmosphere, lovely wine selection, great service and most importantly great food. However, The portions are massive so for those people going on a date here you might want to share an appetizer and main dish because the portions can feed a family of 5. Highly recommend!

delicious - exactly what we wanted
i had friends in town and we were looking for a good italian restaurant with huge portions and great wine. we wanted a long drawn out supper where you eat and eat and eat and drink and drink and drink. filomena was perfect - between three of us we had several bottles of wine, two apps, (definitely recomend the mussels and the stuffed mushrooms!), a veal dish and a pasta. We all paid about $50 or so each (can't quite recall) but not that much for the amount of food and wine we had. we had leftovers and were all stuffed to the gills. i would highly recomend it! (the service wasn't slow - we drew it out because that's what we wanted, but it would have been on par had we not done that.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed with the dinner that we had at Filomena's. The food was not good....the service was not good...and worst of all, my bill had $12 worth of soda on it...even though only one soda was ordered and I never asked fora refill....they just keep refiiling it, even though it was A. all gone, and B. I didn't want it. So many other better Italian places....dont waste your time or money here!!!!!
