Fire Station 1 (Fire Station One)

This restaurant was a great idea that lacked vision or execution. Rather than embracing the unique venue and taking advantage of a great theme, the design of the place seemed aimed at turning the fire station into just another forgettable American restaurant. Beer was overpriced. Service was mediocre. Food was completely uninspired. Save your time and money and go to a bar with more character and more reasonable prices.

We decided to give this place a try and we were extremely disappointed. We found the beer selection was very slim and overpriced. It also took quite awhile for our drinks to be served. We ordered some appetizers . Unfortunately the calamari was more fried batter than actual calamari. The dipping sauce that went with it was thick. The wings were a huge disappointment. Celery impaled through thick slabs of chicken with some hot sauce drizzled over it. There were four pieces of chicken for the cost of $8.99- which seemed way overpriced. We expressed our disappointment and got two drinks comped and got free appetizer cards. Hopefully, they make some improvements and we would gladly go back to give it another try.
