I grew up in Mississippi in the 1950s and 1960s and have been in this area for 30+ yeras. This is the kind of cooking my mother and grandmother did at their best. It was my birthday today, and when my wife asked me where I wanted to go for dinner, the choice was easy: Flavors. We had been there on other occasions, and it never disappoints. The fried chicken was superb, cooked after you arrive and order. The black eyed peas were just right--and in a large portion. The collards just needed a bit of vinegar. The two of us ate our limit for under $40.

I cook and I mean I am a cook ! Well, I went to Flavors because I just didn't feel like cooking but wanted some okay to pretty good food. Boy what a surprise. I ordered fried fish, green and mac and cheese, boy wasn't it tasty. The fish was fresh and fried perfect, very light, not greasy, just perfect, the greens were also perfect and very fresh ! It was so good, I am on my way there again today to order for my family also. Thank you Flavors! P.S. The place might be a litle old, but it was very clean !

The fried chicken was on the money...one of my party had the pork chops, which they said were very good...potato salad was a big thumbs up..corn bread was as it should be, southern!! The chicken is fried to order, so it takes time as does all good food. Therefore, the service is ok. The bottom line is some people are so impatient they either need to stay at home or go to McD's!! Overall, a good food experience, and we shall be back!!

The food was not very good. Service was cafetria style that was ok. The value, because the food was not good was not good either. I want more flavor for the dollar. The atmosphere was subpar as the building looks like it is falling apart.
