I go for the bar downstairs on Karaoke nights. It has a smoky speakeasy feel to it, although they have recently stopped allowing smoking on weekends (thankfully!). upstairs is an upscale bistro. Downstairs you'll find the same menu but a more casual atmosphere. Get big asian beers, sushi (especially during $1 sushi happy hour) and try the lobster bisque - i liked it.

We picked up sushi for the first time from Flying Fish and were impressed with the creativity and taste. We ordered seven different rolls and all were equally delicious. We also got the Fiery Buffalo Calamari which came with horseradish sauce...also highly recommended. The price was a bit high (came to over a hundred bucks - other restaurants would have cost 75-80). The restaurant atmosphere was unusual...art deco...and without looking at a menu, one would never know that the place offered sushi. Don't let that put you off, though. Definitely worth a try.

Flying fish has come a long way in a year. Their sushi had always been great, but service was hit 'n miss. I've been there a dozen times in the past year and the "problem" waiters have been replaced by better, friendlier and more attentive waitstaff. I hate to share my favorite spot (I've tried about 15 in my area), but I do Highly Recommend it! :) Super tasty fiery calamari too! I realize this isn't sushi, but a great app!
