My family and I visited DC and wanted a cool breakfast place not called McDonald's or Starbucks. This place was it. Very good food and lots of unique dishes like carrot cake pancakes....awesome. We didn't have reservations and got lucky, so plan ahead. Also we have two younger kids which was no problem either, but no kids portions so be prepared to share or shell out. A bit on the pricey side but overall terrific.

Best cocktail that I have ever had! Aubrey made a Farmers Smash with their signature Rye that was perfection. The assorted appetizers that we ordered satisfied all including our Vegetarian daughter. Enough of a variety for a tapas bar crawl. The menu also has breakfast all day, the signature cocktails are not as pricey as New York but well worth it. This is our new "go to" restaurant in DC.

We chose this restaurant blindly and were extremely satisfied. We were a family of 4 with our bill only costing $90.00, which is the first value! The food was fabulous, fresh and well presented. The decor was beautiful and the entire restaurant is either reused, refurbished, re purposed or recycled. The bread is made in house fresh each day, desserts are made from scratch fresh each day! They filtrate their own water, make their own alcohol. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Try it...you'll love it!!

Brought my friends here because they had vegan options for me. The homemade blood orange soda was amazing, coffee and orange juice both superb. Both my mate and I got different meals than we ordered, but since the other options looked so good we didn't send them back. The food was great and no complaints in retrospect. I definitely recommend this for parties that include a vegan, vegetarian and omnivores alike!

This place is amazing. I ate here twice in a row this week while in town on business. On Election Night, I had the salmon cooked in apricot sauce and maple syrup on a cedar plank along with mashed potatoes and carrots. I lifted the plank to make sure I ate absolutely everything on the plate! The next day, I had the prosciutto flatbread as an appetizer followed by the crabcakes. I ate everything in front of me again. This is the No. 1 place for me to eat when I'm in DC.

Visiting from NYC, Founding Farmers might have the best food of any restaurant I've ever eaten at. The fish and vegetables were amazingly fresh and delicious. The drinks were innovative and tasty. Had to wait an hour for a table without a reservation, but it was well worth it.

Outstanding cocktails and delicous food. The wings, deviled eggs and the chicken and waffles were all spectacular. Great menu - I look forward to making my way through it in future visits if I can bring myself to order something than the chicken and waffles.
