Love love love the food
I have used this company for years. I love love love the food. I would recommend them and you have to try the fried chicken and peach cobbler.

Excellent food
I have utilized the Gist Family Caterers for many occasions. I have never had any problems with the service or the food. I would recommend them for any type of event.

Best Peach Cobbler
Gist has catered my family events for years now and I have never been dissapointed. Everytime I call I speak with the manager Crystal. She is awesome! I never have a menu set but she always gives me great suggestions.

Tasty soul food, but poor customer service
I used Gist for my company's holiday party. I ordered $3K worth of food. I also requested 4 attendents to serve. Gist said they would hire the servers for the party.The food was delivered on time. The presentation of the food was fine. However the attendents never showed up and we had 160 guests! Throughout the night I called Gist several times to inquiry about the servers. I got the run around. The food tasted great except for the cobbler which tasted like soap. I called the Asst at Gist the following day to complain and she was rude, said it wasn't their problem if the servers didn't show. I demanded a refund for the no-show attendents(Gist had charged my credit card). After two phones, put on hold, then finally talking to Mr Gist, I finally got my money back. Use Gist at your own risk!

Poor customer service
Gist Family Catering has very poor customer service! They are unprofessional and unreliable. When I arrived to pick up my food, they did not have any side dishes nor one of the meat dishes that I requested. The manager refused to speak to me and communicated only through one of her employees. The employee was very nice but couldn't do much to help me. Do consider using ANOTHER company for your catering needs.

good food, poor phone service
The food is the best around, but the women that work there are rude especially when you call and also when you go into the store. The owner is very pleasant to deal with. I wish the service was better. They have the best chicken around.
