We have been going to the Greek Taverna for many years. I agree - it is definitly NOT takeout! We have always enjoyed a wonderful meal, and friendly atmosphere. We are a group of 10 family members that includes children. The Owners have always been warm and gracious. This was one of my Father's favorite restaruants, and being of Greek heritage, that says a lot about the food!

This is most certainly not primarily a takeout place, but rather a good-sized restaurant with a lovely outdoor area as well that's perfect on a summer evening. I've been going here for years, as I love Greece and Greek food. It's as close as you can get to Greece in Northern Virginia.

Thought we'd pop in and check out a local joint and were sorely disappointed. The food was good but the service was not just poor - we were made to feel unwelcome by both our server and the manager (owner?) even though the restaurant was only 1/4 full. Our conclusion is that they were unhappy that we were there with two small children - regardless of the fact that they were both very well behaved. It was truly one of the more unpleasant experiences I have had in a restaurant in years (we eat out at least weekly with our kids) and I have never felt more uncomfortable. Despite the food being decent we will never go back.

This is mainly a take out restaurant with a few places to dine. The food was quite good. I had the fallafel and avocados. Avocados were very very fresh and very good. Fallafel was better than I had expected it to be. I will definitely be back.
