finally
finally a soulfood restaurant with roots to the south. all of my food was prepared the traditional way fish straight from the fryer, collard greens fresh from the fields ,and candied yams pield peeled by hand ...not to mention real hand breaded fried chicken and the sweet potato pie that i had been hearing about which rumors to be Obamas favorite simply took straihgt to heaven...i applaud this place that keeping heritage and tradition of real soulfood...not imitated or watered down ...thank heaven for henrys

Stay Away!!
I went to Henry Soul Cafe on March 18, 2011, I called in my order. I should have just hung the phone up, I wanted to order a sweet potatoe pie, banana pudding, and okra, what did I hear? we are out of these items. I order a vegetable plate, the collar greens were too peppery, the potatoe salad was hard, the mac and cheese was subpar, and I order and a meat loaf dinner, it was dry, tasteless, and I requested the sause on the side, which I did not get. The corn bread was old, it crumble, I will never go to this restaurant again!! The food was poor, I wish I would have checked and taste my food before I left, I would have ask for my money back. I live in Virginia, I wanted to try the restaurant, this can't be the same one that Obama order from!! Highly disappointed!!
