I am saddened to write this but the Woodmont Grill has completely ruined the reputation the Hillstone Restaurant Group. I have been there two times since the "switch" from Houston's to Woodmont Grill and apparently that switch means frozen meats and burgers. It is really sad to see how great this place once was and how badly it could be ruined by inattention to detail which is what made the original so truly wonderful. I refuse to go there again and will instead make the extra 15 minute trek to Rockville to enjoy wonderful original quality that is consistently FRESH and delicious.

This has been one fo my favorite restaurants for years. I have always loved everything I've ever ordered. It's a bit pricey, but what else would you expect in downtown Bethesda? My favorite dishes are the classic BBQ ribs and the Chicken Tenders (not on menu)

I've been to this place about 8 times in the last 2 years. Each time I've experienced an extremly displeasing wait while trying to get a table, whether I made reservations or not. I've finally given up on this place. The last attempt I brought some family from out of town on a Sunday night, a party of 9. We arrived just before 6:30 for our 6:30 reservation and had to wait for 40 minutes. Once we finally sat down, they sat us at two different tables that were across the isle from each other but the restaraunt is so noisy that we could talk to the other party. They could have told us over the phone or even when we got there that they cant seat parties of 9 (looks like the most they could do was 6). Instead we were unpleasantly surprised once we sat down. When the manager came by to ask us how everything was, we politely suggested that he tell future customers about the seating situation. Instead of apologizing he just acted like we should have already known that. That was pretty much it, no apology, not even an attempt. I can understand why another reviewer found them arrogant. But they did say thank you and good night when we left. They had 3 hostesses plus a manager for a 60 table restaraunt. I cant believe they couldn't get it right. The food was good, and I guess thats why I've returned even though I am always kept waiting unecessarily long for a seat. The food is not good enough to overcome the very poor service.

Great place for a reliable, high-quality meal! Service is very solid and the food is impeccable. Only complaint is that the portions are overwhelming.

I want to start off saying that the food at Woodmont Grill is pretty good. The new Ribeye steak was delicious and a lot bigger than I was expecting, I recommend it to anyone who goes here. HOWEVER, the service was sub par. After my server took 25 minutes to bring my appetizer, they tried to compensate for it by bugging me and my wife for the rest of the meal. When I spoke to one of the managers he seemed arrogant and unwilling to offer any sincere apology for the "piss poor" experience. Next time I want to overpay for some food I'll just go to Blacks across the street where they have a better selection and much better service (they don't have a condescending manager either).

not a huge selection, but everything i've tried there is really good. awesome grilled fish sandwich, fries are great. service is good most of the time, had a few bad servers at the rockville pike location. just rude and rushing.
