    Excellent Venue!

When I attended a friends wedding at Indigo Landing I was thrilled by the view, the service and the excellent food. So much so that I decided to book my rehearsal dinner at the venue 2 months later! Since then we have returned for brunch and dinner and have never been disappointed! The food is delicious, especially the calamari and rockfish! The view and ambience Indigo Landing provides is not duplicated anywhere else in the DC/NOVA area!

    Warning: New management, new menu!

This was a wonderful room with authentic Low Country food when I first went, but apparently the Park Service changed management, with very disappointing results. Now the food is little more than greasy bar fare at an inflated price. The view is still beautiful, and it's probably still OK to go for drinks, but there are no traces of the restaurant that was on everyone's "Best of.." lists.

***Best brunch in town and view******

I was there with my family for father's day brunch, what a wonderful restaurant, I will definitely go back, we had a wonderful time with great service and jazz, the food was wonderful, I have not been in this restaurant for years, but what a difference, this will become our favorite restaurant from now on>>>

    NEVER again......

Never again, unless its just for drinks. even then, I’m sure they'll mess up the order. Bad food, lousy service, expensive, and completely not worth it. The view is amazing but you don't need to be at Indigo to enjoy it. The people sitting on the public lawn right outside the restaurant were having a much better meal (picnic food) and just as good a view as we were on our recent disastrous brunch experience. Never ever again.

    Family Favorite

Having lived in Charleston, SC for many years I thought this would not be comparable to some of the fine dining experiences I had with lowcountry food. I was completly wrong. MOST of the dishes on my 3 visits there have been amazing. Loved the roasted chicken, and the vegtables with it. Loved the crab cake, shrimp and grits, fried okra, collard greens, fried green tomatos and shrimp cobb salad. Unfrotunatley the chicken salad I had at lunch once was horrible (too much pepper and a odd lemon after taste). Nevertheless, I now go to Indigo at least once a month to enjoy the menu items I love along with the wonderful view. Make reservations, then go early to get on the first come first seated list for outdoor dining.

Good Food - Well Served - Great Evening

First visit but certainly not the last. Always nice to see a busines that knows their purpose and is willing to pay attention and money to the details. The physical facility is nicely attended to and makes you welcome upon arrival. Bar served up an admirable martini so we started off liking the place. Wait staff knew the menu and was able to discuss preparation. Bread basket competed with "a little something from the chef" and we enjoyed discussing each one. Fried green tomatoes were as good as I've ever had and the shrimp topping was a perfect accompaniment. Our other starter (oyster sausage) suffered slightly by comparison. The two "mains" (brown butter flounder and shrimp and grits) were superb. Each one was carefully put together and the ingredients were distinct and yet managed to add to the whole. Devil food cake and the doughnuts closed out a great meal. We finished with an expresso that was hot, tasty, and beautifully served. This was a "Restaurant Week" dinner and a great bargain. If we had paid full price - we would have still been satisfied. We will return because this was great value: really good food served by people who know their stuff. Oh, not only was the wait staff professional, it was overseen by very unobtrusive managers who quietly floated in the background - watching, making small corrections, and putting in a helping hand when needed. This is a professional restaurant which should endure - even in the hard core Washington market.

What an amazing change from Potomac Land

I took my office staff to lunch on a beautiful September afternoon and I had not been to the restaurant since it changed hands. The staff was fantastic and the new menu was incredible. We all had a sampling of the menu and everything was terrifc. The new colors, open environment and trendy feel also added to the experience. We are now regulars for lunch and dinner.
