I would love to have given this place great reviews but after going there this past saturday to meet a friend who has having a birthday gathering the "bouncer" was being picky with whom he let in (which I don't have a problem with per se). His line of the night was that they were only letting in people who had table reservations, then it switched to well we're at capacity now...Yet he clearly was letting in people with no rhyme nor reason. Folks from the back of the line, folks who had friends inside already. I understand the club game, make people wait outside to make other people passing by think your place is hot...yawn. If this is how they treat people who want to patronize their establishment I don't see them being in business long.

You can not beat the vibe in this place!! The people and the music make all the difference between Jin and a lot of other DC establishments in their league. It's neat, clean, comfortable and modern. When I'm ready to dance like nobody's business, enjoy some good drinks, hang out with friends, meet some new people and have an all-around great time with a MATURE, classy and FUN crowd - I'm headed straight up 14th to Jin!

After walking by Jin countless of times, I thought I'd host my birthday celebration there, since it looked fun, trendy, and reasonably priced. My experience, however, was quite different than my expectation. I had made a reservation via phone (through an answering machine), and once we had arrived, not only was there an event being hosted there, but they had reserved the wrong number of seats. The waitor, the best part of the restaurant, graciously pulled up another table and a few more seats. We started to order our drinks, but to our dismay and dissapointment, they did not have the ingredients necessary to make about a third of them. Ditto went with the food. Once it arrived, the drinks were great but the food atrocious and tasteless. Although the place is really sleek looking, I would ONLY go back for drinks.

Food is excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful. I think Jin is a gem.
