Normally, I don't give restaurants one star. I need to warn potential customers before making a decision to dine there. Not only is the food at JoJo overpriced (seriously $20 for 5 pieces of ravioli?!) but the service is atrocious! Let me elaborate - the server did not give us more than 2 minutes to look over our menu before swooping down our table like a vulture. When she gave us the bill, she swooped down again without giving us time to finish digesting our food. It was obvious she was rushing us out even though it was an empty weekday evening! To make it worse, she told us when we finally paid that there is a $20 minimum for each credit card if splitting the bill. Out of the countless restaurants I have eaten at in DC, I have never heard of this "rule." In addition to the service and bland food, the tables are literally 5 inches from each other, our table was barely hanging together, and there was NO LIVE MUSIC despite what the website says. Do yourself and your date a favor and go to another restaurant in the U Street area because this place is definitely not worth the hassle.

Had dinner at JoJo on a Friday night. We had no wait, got a great table, the service was perfect. The servers were attentive and very nice. The food choices were excellent and all for a great price. Would highly recommend!
