On the decline
For the past 10 years, Kinkeads has been my go to restaurant for a special meal. No longer. The chef still produces amazing food but even amazing food pales when: the fish is raw even when you asked for it done the waiter disappears for long periods of time you are seated by a large group ion a small room even though the restaurant is half empty (yes, we had made a reservation) the women's bathroom is littered with toliet paper This fairly expensive restaurant is on a severe decline and the quality of the food - when property cooked - cannot offset the negatives.

Great Experience at Kinkead's
My husband and I had never been to Kinkead's, despite it's long tenure in the city. We were going to the Kennedy Center and made a reservation for Saturday night. The sat us at a romantic table by a window and the server was funny and charming. I had the scallops, which were absolutely delicious. My husband had the whole fish. It was one of the best whole fish preparations I have ever tasted. We shared a crab cake as an appetizer, which was served with this wonderful mustard sauce. Our dessert was a nectarine tart with honey ice cream. It was to die for. We will definitely be going back to Kinkead's again. I'm so glad we found this DC gem!

terrific
This place was great! The cocoa and spice rubbed tuna and the snapper wrapped in banana leaves and grilled were imaginative and delicious. the fried clams were the best I've had anywhere. comfortable, well informed and friendly servers.

Best Seafood in DC
Some of the freshest, well prepared and creative Seafood in DC. The oyster bar offers a spectacular selection that is fresh and correctly served. Server was professional and very helpful with the menu. The fried clams and Whole roasted fish were the best I have eaten. One of the best dining experiences I have had anywhere!

Mini-mall view
This place did not live up to its hype. First of all, they sat us in a closet which had a view of the mini-mall. Secondly, while the food is good (not great), the portions are tiny. I'm a thin, petite woman and after cleaning my plate, I was hungry for a second entree.

High Expectatins
We were led to think that this would be dining experience, the food was good not great, the servcie was very impressed with themselves and we were not impressed with the decor - the value was average.
