Good Food, Poor Service
The food is some of the best that I have eaten in DC, especially the chicken marsala. A little pricey, but better when compared to other restaurants in Georgetown. Too hectic because there are too few employees, they don't always know what's going on, and the place is cramped. It took 2 times to get me the right order. Even so, i would recommed it

La Madeline: Sub-par Service
Although the food and atmosphere at La Madeline are wonderful, do not go there expecting anything but sub-par from its service. Keep your receipts until after you have your food because the service, when they finally do bring you your food, will 8 times out of 10 bring your the wrong order and then precede to argue with you about what you ordered.

Not worth it anymore
What a dissapointment this place has become. The food now lacks taste and the service is subpar. I went this past weekend and wished I had picked a different place. It's sad since La Madeleine used to be a place which delivered tasty, home cooked style french food. Did the management change?
