    Disappointed

First of all, the service was poor despite our being one of 3 tables in the whole restaurant. The food was ridiculously slow especially since we were the only table eating! Forty minutes after ordering, our medium burger was served well done with a burned bun and a plate of ravioli was served instead of lamb chops. Not going back. No wonder we were the only table eating at 7 pm on a Friday.

    Better places for Sunday Brunch

I went here w/ one of my friends for sunday brunch....first of all this place wasn't crowded (at most, 5 other tables were full) but yet we somehow were still ignored and couldn't find out waitress. We waited for 15 minutes before I finally had to get up and ask two different people to bring us our check. My friend got the french toast which was good...it was in this yummy orangy-flavored sauce. However I got the blueberry pancakes. Not sure if there was some ingredient that went bad but my pancakes tasted a bit sour and lacked sweetness. The only thing that was good about this place was the decor...the food, not so much.

Much better alternatives in the area!

I have been to going to Adams Morgan for couple of years now. I remember Left Bank from the days it was called Cities (and there were some pretty cool parties back then). Unfortunately things have changed a lot and Left Bank seems to have become a very different and quite miserable place not worth your time especially given the extremely fun area with lots of better place nearby.... Food is not bad but if you want to enjoy good food- go elsewhere. Music is not good! It seems like Left Bank is trying too hard to be versatile - a breakfast place, lunch restaurant, dinner restaurant, bar, and a club... Well.... let me tell you - it may help the owners pay the rent but it fails at a larger scale because it doesn't accomplish any of these well enough and leaves visitors wonder what is really the purpose of this place! Nice name though...

    Left Banking It!

I went to the left bank to celebrate my 21st b day about two years ago when it was new. The staff was really nice and teh bartender made me a special drink to celebrate my birthday. The prices seem to have gone up a bit since then. But my boyfriend and I always enjoy ourselves when we go. Definately worth it if you are in Adams Morgan, but dont know if I would make a special trip just for Leftbank
