Best Soul Food
Delicious I have had Fried Catfish seasoned and very very good moist and flavorful, collard greens can't get any better real homemade coleslaw and potato salad. NC Pork Bar B Q out of this world sooooooo good. Fried chicken wings hot and tastier than any fast food place. The only bad thing is you want to keep returning and this adds pounds and spending too much money but other than that nothing bad to say!

Great food and service.
I went today in the afternoon. Service was great. I got seated and served immediately. I had meatloaf, corn, green beans and mash potatoes. Very delicious. The sweet tea was good, too. The service was very accomodating. I took the uneated portion home and ordered rib dinner to-go. The food reminded me of home.

NC Barbeque was good
This was our 2nd visit to this establishment and it will be our last. The 1st visit Summer of 2011 the kitchen help didn't show up and there was no food to be had at 12:30 pm. This time the food was just mediocre and the service was poor. The server didn't even know if they served decaf coffee (they don't) and the lemonade was nothing more than water with sugar. Everything else including the sides were just so so. All the while we were there on this visit a smoke detector somewhere in the back was chirping and in need of a battery but no one seemed to care. Next call to the fire inspector....Had to track down the waitress in this small restaurant just to get our check and there were only 2 other tables occupied.

Miss Ur Moma Food
Hungry for home cooking? this is your spot. Believe it. Varied menu, everything delicious. I stop in once a month cause I'm now working out but it's so worth it. Smothered chops, mac and cheese greens my fav. But they have everything, oh and the cornbread.... plenty of space for a big group- or just you.

Smothered pork chops, collards, mac and cheese. Some of the best soul food you'll find in DC at reasonable prices.

so not typical
food ...excellant. fried catfish crunchy outside , sweet and juicy inside, they made ME, fresh coffee, felt like i knew these people . and their sole aim was to please us.
