    unpleasant experience

For the prices this place is charging, the food, service and cleanliness were remarkably sub par. I started with the sweet potato fries which were very good. My entree was the salmon, which was ok, but the corm tamale that was served with it was not good, and I rarely find foods unacceptable. My husband ordered the swordfish, which was so salty it was inedible. We were not charged for it. By far the worst part of the night was the absolutely unsanitary conditions of the bathroom. There was no toilet seat on the stainless steel toilet, no soap, 1 ply cheap toilet paper, a rank smell throughout and a barely working sink. I went to both the upstairs and downstairs facilities and both were reminiscent of prison cells.

    house manager a jerk

The bartender, hostess and waitstaff are great. The house manager is a pompous jerk. Apparently, we weren't spending enough to stay at our table, and we were asked under no uncertain terms to leave because he wanted to seat a 10-top. Never mind that he could of asked us to move to one of the many empty neighboring tables, and that we still had full glasses of wine. He basically told us that we had to leave, because it was restaurant week and most of the party had ordered appetizers. He didn't care that the cost of the appetizers and alcohol more than surpassed the piddly $30 restaurant week menu. Note that we had been there last week and had spent over $1000 and weren't kicked out then. I'm never going back. The food and service don't make up for the attitude.

    Found a new favorite

The food was creative, perfectly prepared, and delicious from the beginning to end. The new combinations and tastes really worked from the cilantro margarita to the passion fruit creme brulee. The staff was helpful and friendly. This is a definite must for those who love good food!
