Terrific
I had business in the Woodley Park area for a month or so, and used it to try out all the wonderful ethnic restaurants on the block. Little India was by far my favorite. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming, the food fresh and delightfully spicy (I like my Indian food on the "aromatic" side). I had waited until last to try Little India because it's exterior made it look a tad dumpy. Don't be fooled -- this was definitely a case of last being best. Not only was the food good, but I got a full meal, with appetizers (and plenty of left-overs) for less than $12! Talk about a bargain. The only reason it didn't get a "5" is that my favorite Indian restaurant is still in Virginia (Raaga). But next week, I'm driving into the city just so I can introduce a friend to this terrific little find.

What a treat
I went in to have dinner with a friend. We ordered the Little India Platter and samosa. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. I loved their service and surely be here again.

Will not order again
I ordered delivery from Little India but I will not order again. The curry was a greasy swamp and didn't resemble any Tikka Massala I have ever had before. I love Indian food, but ordering from Little India was somewhat worse than eating a frozen Indian dinner. I think they must have bought the nan pre-cooked because it tasted just like the stuff you buy in the grocery store. The vegetable samosas were tasty though.

Great
I have to agree with the others. Their food and service are great. I will come back again for sure.

superior!
Great food, great people! Best restaurant in DC! And very reasonably priced, especially for the size of the portions.

Unique
As a long time resident of the area, I have been to most of the Indian restaurants, from Polo india club (at dupont circle) to Little India. I have to say what is unique about this restaurant is their appetizers and their tandoori items, butter ch. and shrimp. It's mouth watering. I specially love their samosa. The freshness of the appizers can be found in their taste. Their assorted vegetable appetizers (with one samosa and few pakoras, and bhujia) was delicious. I was surprised to see the review about the apetizer. Their food is good (I would not say bad at all) but their appetizer is excellent. I still go like going to all the different india restaurants, but when I am in woodley park I come to Little India for my indian food. Even Rajaji is okay here. Only this two restaurant and worth dining at for indian dishes in this area.
