If you can put up with a bit of "holier than thou" attitude and close quarters (restaurant only seats about 25 including the bar/counter), you will not be disappointed. The food is exquisite, the presentation exceptional and the fish could not be fresher. Reservations are a must any night of the week. The waitresses are only too quick to take care of your every need, but be prepared that they don't take any guff. Cell phones are not permitted and the couple next to us who tried to check voice mail were told outright that if they didn't put it away immediately, the chef would stop serving them....and I'm quoting verbatim. Also, my daughter requested tap water and they refused to serve it. Again, the food is so amazing that in the end we found it quite easy to just accept their approach and understand that it's all part of their presentation and if they changed things like this to accommodate customers, their atmosphere would be compromised. The tasting menu starts at $60 but I highly recommend it over all other options...it is well worth it. Alcoholic beverages can be pricey, but if you are on a budget, tea is always an option.
