Mario's Pizza House
Posted by ms khanna on 11/15/2011
i noticed the pizza was different tasting. i drive 60 miles to come here this was a very poor experience. what is happening to the great pizza we were use too. Even the kids meals are gone off the menu so your not so kid friendly anymore. Wake up before your good name and business are ruined for good.

We ordered a pizza there last night and I must agree with below review...something has changed. Crust thick and dry and not very much flavor. Recommend they take a few steps back and reevaluate changes.

I went there last night and the pizza was not so good. Thicker crust without any flavor. Poor quality cheeze and mere tomato sauce instead of their usual sauce. I have been ordering pizza at Mario's for 46 years and for the first time I was not happy. Have they changed ownership or management?

Well I had never heard of "Mario's" before but last week my friend invited me there and there was a huge line for lunch, in my mind I thought we were going to wait for-ever, but it only took about 8-10 minutes. The stake and cheese was excellent! The only thing that was funny to me of the place was, that in order to eat inside u had to be willing to stand up. hahahaha...but other then that, the place was clean, service was great, and the food made me full fast.

Have been going to Mario's since 1963. Lefty makes the best steak and cheese sandwich ever! Have it with everything, which includes sweet pickles and slice cabbage. Fast and efficient service.

I gave Mario's 2 stars for food, 4 stars for service 4 stars for value and 1.5 stars for atmosphere. I have only eaten pizza here so I can't comment on the other food. I gave Mario's two stars because there pizza is not so good. However, while the people there might not be the friendliest, they are very efficient. Even with a long line, you will be in and out pretty quickly. Unfortunately, after the bars close in Clarendon/Ballston, there aren't many other alternatives to Mario's, I will be returning time and time again for drunk munchies.
