I love this place. Great for corporate events and birthday's. 7 course meal for 7 per person. I do not like the fact they charge for extra for birthdays -this should be included, but the food is good and portions you cant beat at 30 per person in cash btw. The dancers are spotty but its always a good time-a must see in DC.

The atmosphere was the best part of the night . I found the decor rich and authentic. At first it seemed like the service would be exceptional, but as the night went on, we were almost ignored for parties with big groups. The food was good but it took 3 and 1/2 to finish service. Some courses had a 20 minute waits in between. We watched as people who were seated after us, were served before us. The belly dancing was entertaining. By the end of the night , I just didn't have the 'warm-fuzzy' feeling I had in the begining.

My group went to Marrakesh on Monday, May 12, 2008. One of the women there had just come back from Marrakesh and other cities in Morrocco. And, she is a food expert. She said the food was fabulous. We all agreed it was wonderful. The service was great and very very responsive and the belly dancer was awesome. If there was a 5.5-6 rating I would have given the evening that rating. I will be definitely returning. The meal is $30.00 base price, but remember in DC there is a 10% entertainment price and you pay separately for your drinks. THey only accept cash, but they have an ATM machine. Enjoy your visit. It is well worth it!

The food is very good indeed. The slow-cooked chicken was incredible, as were the kebabs. The reason I won't be coming back to Marrakesh is the appallingly bad service. It took 20 minutes to be seated. After being seated, it was a good 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. After the waiter came with our drinks, it was another 20 minutes before anyone came back. I don't expect or enjoy fawning service, but if you like being ignored, come here.

You might miss this little jewel of a restaurant with its nondescript business front and metal door that you have to knock on to gain entry. Authentic Moroccoan atmosphere, complete with an excellent bellydancer in the middle of the room. The food is served in 7 courses and it is family-style dining. The chicken was outstanding and so was the Moroccan Mint Tea at the end. A very lively and festive place. Excellent!!
