McKeever's is one of my family's favorite local restaurants. The atmosphere is funky and fun, decorated with old pictures, street signs, license plates, antlers - an uncohesive mess that is absolutely delightful. The service is as good as one could hope for, and the restaurant as a whole is very casual, but could easily work if you're looking for a special night out. We've tried very few items on the menu, mainly because the bleu cheese burger is exquisite. The flavorful, warm cheese is embedded in the middle of the burger and explodes on your tongue once you bite in. The brownie sundae is actually the best that I have ever had - I sometimes come just for that. The vegetarian pickings are slim, but the salmon salad is quite good if you do eat fish. At night the bar is popular - I've only come for the food so I couldn't tell you how that is. Prices are good. Entrees are generally under $10. You definitely get enough food for your money.
