Excellent fill for a fair price
I was craving Indian food and walked on 7th st. from the convention ctr. There it was a huge buffet laid out for me to cherish. The Butter chicken and the punjabi kadi brouht back my taste buds to life. There were too many other choices, which i am not crazy about. I had a tajmahal to go with it. The service was fine for a buffet and I decided to go back for dinner. I had their green chilly chicken and garlic nan. The chicken could have been little spicier but the garlic nan was perfect. I had a glass of pinot noir to go with it. I had a very satisfying fill and recommended it to other conventioneers.

Really just not a good restaurant
I've both eaten in and ordered take out a few times from this place, and as much as I want to like it, I just can't. The Vindaloo and the Tikka Masala are indistinguishable from each other, and neither is good. Aloo gobi was the best thing I've tried, but it is rather bland and rates a "fair at best" in my book. When I asked for something extra spicy I found large chuncks of jalepeno peppers in my food, but not any extra flavor. The portions are very small, overpriced and I've never had take out (been 3 times now) that was ready when they told me to come pick it up. The decor is fine with lots of mirrors, but I don't go to a restuarant to look around the pretty room. I live right nearby and I love indian food, but I can't bring myself to go here any more. You shouldn't either.
