Not recommended
I went here on a Friday night. I was disappointed to say the least. The first problem was that none of the drinks have prices on the menu, leading any reasonable mind to believe that they are ripping you off. Secondly, my tamale had no meat. ZERO. Furthermore, the margaritas have little to no tequila. I might as well just ordered soda. Overall, the meal was average and not worth the price. There is definitely better mexican food in silver spring.

Terrific
We've been coming there for years. And, when we want to impress out of town guests, we bring them to Mi Rancho in Silver Spring. Very friendly atmosphere and the food is terrific. I don't consider it pricey, given the quality of the food. Love the salsa, the guacamale!

Best Mexican Restaurant EVER!
I've been going there since I was VERY young. I have NEVER had better fajitas or any mexican dish than I have had at Mi Rancho & believe me I've even been to Mexico! I've even celebrated New Year's there. By far, THE best.

Great Local Restaurant
I couldn't help noticing that the only bad review is by Anonymous - This restaurant is great. We've been coming here for 20 years - we're lucky that it is only 4 blocks away but it would still be worth it even if were farther away. The food is consistently tasty and fresh and the service is great, which is what counts.

Forever and Always Amazing
I've been going there since I can remember. My parents went there before I was born and I go at least once a month, if not more. The food is amazing, everybody is nice, and it is a lot of fun. The price is good and the chips and salsa is to die for. If you want to save money on the tip then you can call and order it and then pick it up ahead of time. I would eat there everyday that I could. You really should eat there.

Our standard restaurant out
Mi Rancho is the standard place where my wife and I go when we go out to dinner. It's convenient (less than two blocks away), inexpensive, and delicious. They have excellent margaritas (especially on the rocks, although the frozen is good by the standards of most places) and their sangria is quite decent (again, good by the standards of most places). Their freshly made tortillas are noteworthy, and their vegetable fajitas (with broccoli, zucchini and carrots) are a refreshing option. I'm not sure I would recommend going there on your birthday, unless you're prepared to have a sombrero put on your head and having the waitstaff sing "happy birthday" to you in a variety of different keys. But it's rather entertaining to watch it happen to someone else. Overall, it's the place we tend to take visitors and it's where we go on most nights when we go out and can't decide where to go.

Best TexMex around
I don't usually comment for reviews but was astounded by the over-rated comment. We've been eating their for years. The food is fabulous - consistently. The servers are very friendly. It's a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. I'd like to suggest that they store boxes of beer which they store around the bar area, out of sight., however. It's a eye sore and greatly detracts from the atmosphere.
